SUMMARY:Exploring Energy in Ecosystems with Project Learning Tree
DESCRIPTION:Join Georgia Project Learning Tree in an exploration of a new grade band e-unit containing a unit approach on different topic areas. These units contain five hands on activities\, learning progressions\, online quizzes\, assessments\, resources and more! Join us as we pilot our 3rd – 5th grade band focused on Energy in Ecosystems. Students focus on forests—one of the largest and most complex types of ecosystems—and come to understand some of the interactions present in all ecosystems. In doing so\, they learn to appreciate the natural systems on which we depend and begin to widen their circle of compassion to include all of nature. Project Learning Tree’s Energy in Ecosystems curriculum for grades 3-5 won a 2019 Teachers’ Choice Award for the Classroom from Learning ® Magazine! \nRegistration Open: December 1 – December 20 \nRegistration includes professional development\, access to and educator certification in the new “Energy in Ecosystems” e-unit\, and lunch
